Colorado has 54 peaks over 14,000 feet, or "Fourteeners," as they are affectionally known by the locals.  They also make for some great skiing. Our Capital, Denver is nicknamed the Mile-High City because it's official elevation is exactly one-mile (5,280 feet) above sea level. 

 

Colorado is a state full of fun!!  People save for years to come and ski at some of the worlds best ski resorts that are right in our back yard.  These same mountains make for excellent cross country skiing, snow shoeing, camping, and hiking.  This state offers some of the worlds best white water rafting, horseback riding, and mountain bike trails.  Many of the ski resorts offer alpine slides that have you zipping down a 3,000 foot decline in a sled on wheels, it's the ride of your life!!  For something a bit more relaxing you can spend your day on Lake Dillion in a canoe and take in the beauty of Colorado.
