Why WE Share

As women, we share many commonalities such as the need to be loved, respected, encouraged, etc. yet, we are so divided among ourselves in those very same areas. I'veoften wondered what would happen if we made the conscious decision to allow love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control to rule in our relationships rather than jealousy, envy, strife, insecurity, racial differences, gossip, etc. I believe that it is possible to nurture a healthier bond between women. First, we must be open to identify and confront those areas that hinder genuine love for one another. Then, if we could just learn to praise our strengths, encourage our weaknesses & celebrate our differences. The final message -- love without limits. John 13:34-35 reminds us "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." People should be drawn by the love that we share with one another.  Every woman is wonderfully and uniquely made by God. Be willing to share with others what God has given you. It could be your time, your encouragement, your testimony, your patience or your warm smile. In every woman, there is something special that is designed to bring something equally special to another woman. This message has been in my heart for some time now and I finally decided to release it to others. My prayer is that each  month will get better, bolder and ultimately will be a blessing to all.

2008 - Lets Go!
What will the New Year bring? This is the question that I've asked myself at the close of each year. But this year my anticipation stirs a question of greater depth for me. What will I bring to the New Year? Like many, I've gone so far as to write down my "New Year's Resolutions" for each area of my life. Give it a few weeks into the New Year and I'm trying to figure out what happened to the list! Right now, I'm encouraged because I'm certain of the one thing that I want more than anything else-a greater presence and power of God in my life! This is where the journey begins for me. I'm putting it in writing to declare it so and to also encourage others to come along with me.

Matthew 6:33 tells us, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." You see God has always been first in my personal order, but not always first in my personal pursuit or service to Him. Yes 2008 is here and there are plans and agendas in the making.  That in itself is not a negative thing. But when it's not coupled with seeking The Ultimate Planner, it can often lead to fruitless efforts. I believe that there exists in every woman a pre-packaged purpose waiting to be revealed.  I believe that there is so much more than merely existing on this earth. There is a plan for our lives and we must be willing to yield ourselves to fulfilling that plan.

And so what will I bring to the New Year? A greater sense of purpose, a greater level of expectation and a greater pursuit of Jesus.  I challenge you to share in this experience with me. Just begin by letting God know that you are available for His purpose in 2008.  We may not see the entire trip as it has been mapped out for us, but at least we have a starting point and we know the final destination. With our engines running, put the gear in drive and let's go!

                  Ideas for Jumpstarting 2008

*Think of one word, thought or phrase that will give focus for the New Year. Place it before you as a constant reminder: write it down, post it or  print it out & frame it. Place it on the wall, at your desk, on your dresser, in the kitchen or wherever it can be seen.

*Partner with someone. Friends can encourage, support and bring a fresh outlook to your inspirations. Besides, it feels great to share with someone that you trust and can be accountable to for growth and progress.

*Prepare a message of self declaration. Start with "I AM----" Make a list, write a poem, or write whatever you feel led to express.  Encourage and strengthen yourself with your words.

*We welcome your comments, questions, and your own personal messages to share.  Each month we would like to  feature "you".  It could be anything from a simple beauty tip to an incredible testimony of faith.  We want to hear from the hearts of women.
