 Corps of Engineers schedules 2 meetings of importance to Lake Eufaula property owners and potential buyers:

Coming up shortly are two opportunities that you will not want to miss!
Lake Eufaula is a Corps of Engineers lake. Colonel Mike Teague, the Tulsa District commander for Lake Eufaula, is coming to Eufaula for a "Listening Session" on Tuesday, May 31st at 6 p.m. at the Eufaula High School Auditorium located at "1" Bell Anderson Drive (behind McDonald's and Taco Mayo just off of South Main Street).
This will be an opportunity to learn as well as ask questions and share ideas for Lake Eufaula. The Colonel will talk about: 1) How the Corps of Engineers manages the lake level and 2) The Corps' planned update to Eufaula Lake's shoreline management plan and 3) an update on the 2007 WRDA Act worked on so hard by the SOW, Inc. group.
 On Thursday, June 2nd from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Eufaula Middle School gymnasium, 1711 West J.M. Bailey HWY, Eufaula (1 mile west of Eufaula on HWY 9) the Corps of Engineers will be holding a "public scoping meeting." The purpose of this meeting is to gain input from the public for use in the environmental impact study and Eufaula Lake shoreline management plan. Updates to the master plan have not been done since 1977!
This is your opportunity to share any ideas of importance to you. Is there an area of the lake you would like to see changed from wildlife protected area to limited development, allowing you to clear to the water or place a boat dock? This is your opportunity to let the Corps know where those areas are. Are there public beaches that have been closed you would like to see opened again? Come and share your desires! The environmental impact study will evaluate alternatives and environmental impacts associated with specific proposals for recreational development at Lake Eufaula.
DON'T miss these 2 great opportunities for your voice to be heard - express your concerns, share your ideas and let your wants be known. You will not have this opportunity again for a long long time. Environmental impact studies and updates to the master plan do not happen very often. Be a part of the future growth and development of Lake Eufaula - come and participate!
