* The Art Center and their Main Street satellite galleries are open for strolling, with artists present at most venues 
 
* The antique and gift shops are open, plus special performances by the Dance Studio

Upcoming Projects 
 
 We know a lot of you like to follow what we'll be restoring next.
    
This year we'll be working on:
 
* Laying the groundwork for landscaping our lot:  we will start with a native VA plant garden by the side porch landing.
 
* Updating the Blue Room with blue toile depicting Washington, DC historic buildings.

* Refreshing the Green Room with a new look.

The Montpelier Wine Festival is held annually on the grounds of Montpelier.  The Festival showcases distinctive arts and crafts, specialty food vendors, live music, "cooking with wine" classes, and wine tastings.

The Civil War and Emancipation's 150th Anniversary is upon us.  To commemorate such an important time in our nation's lifespan, we have teamed up with noted historian and author Frank Walker to present a monthly must-read book selection about the Civil War in the Central VA region.

Frank Walker will choose books by various authors from various perspectives so we may all learn about such a turbulent and fast-changing time in America's history.

   

Starting April 2011, we'll post on our Facebook Notes Page a new monthly reading selection and Frank Walker's colorful description of why you should read it. If you read the book, feel free to add your comments to the FB Notes Page!
