Martha Stewart Radio Features the Holladay House

On 16 April 2008, Martha Stewart Radio (Channel 112 on SIRIUS Satellite Radio) featured a discussion about easy and inexpensive ways to make a household environmentally friendly. Because innkeepers have been leaders in the "green" movement, the show focused on how inns save both money and the environment in their daily operations. As a certified Virginia Green Lodging establishment, tips from the Holladay House were prominently featured! Visit our website to learn about how we reduce our impact on our environment!

Grillin' and Chillin' Weekend, May 30-31
Join us for a good ol'-fashioned backyard barbecue! The weekend begins after dinner on Friday night with Sharon's famous dark chocolote lava cake (drizzled with Framboise), paired with our favorite dessert wines from local wineries.
Start the next day with a hearty breakfast, spend the day exploring the area, then return to the inn on Saturday evening for grilled hamburgers and all-beef hot-dogs. Top-quality, locally-produced steak will be available by request for an additional charge (chicken breasts or vegetarian options available with prior arrangement). In addition, we will have a baked potato bar with all the fixin's! While dinner is cooking, we'll be churning our very own made-from-scratch ice-cream, to be served with a fresh, home-made apple pie.
This all-American feast only costs $25 per person*, and is a great way to kick-off the summer!
*In addition to posted room rate. Price includes up to 2 alcoholic beverages Saturday night. 2 night reservation required. Subject to availability. |
