July's Photo Contest Winners!!

"Congratulations to Logan Smith and Erin Reese DeJarnette"

Children In Film Photo Contest Tip of the Month: Natural smiles are the key to a great headshot.  Make sure your child is making a connection with the camera and giving a genuine facial expression.  Have braces?  Not to worry; a closed mouth smile is completely acceptable.  An alternative shot could include showing off the braces; Casting Directors want to see what your child looks like now, on an everyday basis.

Erin and Logan will each receive a FREE ENHANCED membership on ChildrenInFilm.com until they turn 18 and will be featured on our website and newsletters. Plus, Bunker LA is providing this month's winners with 50 free prints of their winning headshots. Congratulations to both of you! And congratulations to everyone who submitted - it is getting more and more difficult to choose winners as many of you have excellent headshots; keep up the good work!!

The CIF Photo Contest is designed so that we may show you what great pictures look like, and so that you may learn from these examples.  Plus, it gives our members a chance to have their excellent photos featured on the site.

How can your child become the next winner? Be sure to follow these tips:

Basic Members:
Remember, everyone is eligible to participate in the photo contest, but you won't be considered if we don't have a picture of you.   The best way to participate is to upload an image into your profile as soon as you create your account.

New Photos: If you've been a member for a while (basic or enhanced) and want to make sure your newest photo is being considered, send a JPEG to us at  contest@childreninfilm.com

Photo Tips: The CIF Kidstart Program has lots of great tips on taking good photos.  Or, you can view the former contest winners for samples of winning photos.
