August's Photo Contest Winners!!

"Congratulations to Lauren Moss and Rod Myers"

Children In Film Photo Contest Tip of the Month: Remember, having the perfect headshot doesn't mean you have to be perfect. Yes, flawless skin, sparkling eyes and rosy cheeks are favorable in a society obsessed with perfection, but when it comes to your child's headshot, the pros want to see the real deal. What does this mean? No heavy Photoshopping! Sure, it is okay to fix a blemish here and there but don't change the look of your child by removing freckles, changing eye color or adding in missing teeth. The experts can spot heavy-handed Photoshop work which often results in look that appears more plastic than perfect.

Lauren and Rod  will each receive a FREE ENHANCED membership on ChildrenInFilm.com until they turn 18 and will be featured on our website and newsletters.  Congratulations to both of you! And congratulations to everyone who submitted - it is getting more and more difficult to choose winners as many of you have excellent headshots; keep up the good work!!

The CIF Photo Contest is designed so that we may show you what great pictures look like, and so that you may learn from these examples.  Plus, it gives our members a chance to have their excellent photos featured on the site.

How can your child become the next winner? Be sure to follow these tips:

Basic Members:
Remember, everyone is eligible to participate in the photo contest, but you won't be considered if we don't have a picture of you.   The best way to participate is to upload an image into your profile as soon as you create your account.

New Photos: If you've been a member for a while (basic or enhanced) and want to make sure your newest photo is being considered, send a JPEG to us at  contest@childreninfilm.com

Photo Tips: The CIF Kidstart Program has lots of great tips on taking good photos.  Or, you can view the former contest winners for samples of winning photos.
