April's Photo Contest Winners!!
"Congratulations to Christian Riese and Shayna Brooke Chapman"
Children In Film Photo Contest Tip of the Month: Selecting which headshot to use as your main headshot does not need to be difficult. Narrow the pics down by removing all images that you and your child simply do not like or feel do not represent him/her. Next, ask a few friends to weigh in on their opinions. Select 10-15 shots and have your agent or manager pick his/her favorite. Or, have your agent/manager start by picking 10-15 from the full batch (if he/she is willing to take the time to sort through them all). Then follow with your selection and input from friends. Remember, your favorite may not be the best representation of your child, so be sure to listen to the majority vote.
Christian and Shayna will each receive a FREE ENHANCED membership on ChildrenInFilm.com until they turn 18 and will be featured on our website and newsletters. Congratulations to both of you! And congratulations to everyone who submitted - it is getting more and more difficult to choose winners as many of you have excellent headshots; keep up the good work!!
The CIF Photo Contest is designed so that we may show you what great pictures look like, and so that you may learn from these examples. Plus, it gives our members a chance to have their excellent photos featured on the site. How can your child become the next winner? Be sure to follow these tips:
Basic Members: Remember, everyone is eligible to participate in the photo contest, but you won't be considered if we don't have a picture of you. The best way to participate is to upload an image into your profile as soon as you create your account. New Photos: If you've been a member for a while (basic or enhanced) and want to make sure your newest photo is being considered, send a JPEG (we recommend something around 400x600 pixels) to us at contest@childreninfilm.com Photo Tips: The CIF Kidstart Program has lots of great tips on taking good photos. Or, you can view the former contest winners for samples of winning photos. To learn more about the Children In Film Photo Contest
