Spotlight On:
Classes and Taxes

This year Children In Film is featuring our KidStart program - the step-by-step guide to successfully launching your child's entertainment career.

This month we're talking about classes.  Does your child need classes? What kinds of classes should your child take?  How do you know a class is reputable?

Plus, we're featuring a special this month regarding child actor taxes.  Do you qualify for tax write-offs?  Find out tonight.  Members, just click here to view the show at 4:30pst.

February's Photo Contest Winners!!
"Congratulations to Olivia Faye Floyd and Austin Chandra"

Children In Film Photo Contest Tip of the Month:
Pick a good photographer. You can't build a great house if you don't have a great foundation, right?  You're bringing the talent, so make sure your photographer is bringing the skills. You can use the ChildrenInFilm.com Ratings and Recommendations system to check out your photographer ahead of time and see what other parents have to say about his/her work.

Olivia and Austin will each receive a FREE ENHANCED membership on ChildrenInFilm.com until they turn 18 and will be featured on our website and newsletters.  Congratulations to both of you! And congratulations to everyone who submitted - it is getting more and more difficult to choose winners as many of you have excellent headshots; keep up the good work!!

The CIF Photo Contest is designed so that we may show you what great pictures look like, and so that you may learn from these examples.  Plus, it gives our members a chance to have their excellent photos featured on the site.

How can your child become the next winner? Be sure to follow these tips:

Basic Members:
Remember, everyone is eligible to participate in the photo contest, but you won't be considered if we don't have a picture of you.   The best way to participate is to upload an image into your profile as soon as you create your account.

New Photos: If you've been a member for a while (basic or enhanced) and want to make sure your newest photo is being considered, send a JPEG (we recommend something around 400x600 pixels) to us at  contest@childreninfilm.com

Photo Tips: The CIF Kidstart Program has lots of great tips on taking good photos.  Or, you can view the former contest winners for samples of winning photos.
