Launch Your Career: Part 6
ChildrenInFilm.com can work for you just as it has for many of our members as long as you know how to use the site to your advantage.
Seek representation
Now that you have done your research, equipped yourself with excellent headshots and a great resume, and enrolled your child in classes, you are ready to begin your search for representation.
NOTE: many parents are eager to begin this search before they've completed the other steps. We don't recommend this. Doing so will only decrease your chances of success and ultimately your search for an agent or a manager will take longer. To review the steps before finding representation, check out our KidStart program. Finding representation on ChildrenInFilm.com is easy. Begin by searching our Membership Directory for agents and managers in your area. Read their ratings and recommendations, and contact other talent on the site about their experience with their own representation. You can also participate in discussions on the Member Forum.
Once you have selected a few agents and/or managers you would like to work with, contact them via their profile on ChildrenInFilm.com and request an interview. You can also respond to calls for talent on our Casting Notices page.
Finally, attending CIF events is another great way to meet industry professionals. We have one coming up on August 14th called Ready...Set...Meet! where your child will have the chance to meet one-on-one with reputable agents. We fill up fast, so register today!

"Your website has been a tremendous help for us getting started. The best part, we obtained our talent agent via your website. I am very grateful, especially since we live quite a distance away [from Los Angeles]. Your website made obtaining an agent so much easier" ~ Cindy Nishijima, mother of Shari Nishijima Become an Enhanced Member Today! |
