Preparing for Tax Season with Your Child Actor

"Young actors pay taxes too!!"

April 15th- the inevitable date that all adults dread.  And if your child is a working actor, the tax season just got a little more complicated. If you're unsure of just how to handle your working child's taxes, it can lead to unneeded stress and anxiety.

In fact, Children In Film understands that unanswered questions regarding the entertainment industry can lead to stress.  That's why we're working hard to answer your questions and provide you with resources you need to get the right answers.  For example, if you're looking for temporary housing providers because you're traveling to LA, we've got it! If you're looking for information on home school programs, we've got it!  If you're looking for tax preparers or financial advisors, we've got that too!  They're all listed in our Membership Directory, which offers you the chance to contact numerous rated and recommended industry professionals, nationwide.

This tax season, Children In Film wanted to make things a little bit easier, so we called on tax expert and Children In Film member, David K. Rogers, who specializes in tax preparation for actors. He has a lot of advice to offer up, so when you're taking care of the inevitable, be sure to check out his article in our Money Management section.
