'Tis the Season to be Saving

"Doing your part to give back when times are tight"

In this tough economy, Children In Film understands more than ever that you may find yourself saying, "charity starts at home."

We know that it is difficult to give back when money is so tight and saving every penny possible is absolutely necessary.

Rest assured that Children In Film continues to give back to the community even through the rough patches.   And, in turn, your Enhanced membership on ChildrenInFilm.com allows you to give back too!

Here are just a few ways your membership fees have contributed to the community at large:

The Ernie Garcia Fund: Ernie Garcia and his family were recently hit by the devastating effects of the California Wild Fires.  Through your efforts, Children In Film members helped to contribute to the $3,384.30 raised to assist the Garcia family.

Spirituality For Kids:  As an educational nonprofit organization, Spirituality for Kids partners with educators, schools and organizations to teach tools to assist children in making choices to change their course and benefit future generations.  Children In Film members helped to contribute $500 to Madonna's "Raising Malawi, " and $750 to the "Learn to Dance with Candice Coke" charity event.

A Minor Consideration:  Paul Petersen, head of 'A Minor Consideration' has participated in a few of CIF's webinars and Speaker Series events.  This year, Children In Film raised $3,000 for 'A Minor Consideration.'

The Joseph Horvath Memorial Scholarship Fund: On behalf of our members, Children In Film made a $500 contribution to this fund which continues to support the effort to award scholarships to bright and deserving students making it easier for young people to pursue their educational goals.  The scholarship is in honor of Joesph Horvath who was dedicated to serving the lives of many children.

D.R.O.P:  Children In Film also helped to bring awareness to the Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris) D.R.O.P Blood Drive.

Children In Film will be considering new charities for 2010.  If you are passionate about a particular children's charity and would like us to consider them for a donation, please contact us.
