Does Your Profile Shine?
As with anything in this industry, you have to stand out against the crowd. At Children In Film we're excited to be able to connect you with some of entertainment's greatest industry professionals. Our site is filled with casting directors, managers and agents and unlike any site of its kind, ChildrenInFilm.com allows you to connect directly to these powerful professionals.
Whether it is through our member forum, live events or ability to directly contact professionals, Children In Film is working hard to bring the people and the answers right to you.
Your picture and resume will be automatically attached when you contact any member on our site. But is your pofile going to stand out when you make these powerful connections?
Here are tips on making sure your profile is ready for a close up:
1. Make sure to choose the best headshot for your main profile picture. The background should be generic, but did you know that white isn't necessarily the best choice? For more info on taking great photos, check out the photos section of our KidStart Program.
2. Take advantage of the unlimited picture uploads. Add other pictures to your profile like full-body and action shots, serious and playful expressions and even samples of print work you may have.
3. Fill out all your information! Make sure you've entered your sex, age, height and other basic info under "build my profile." If info is not up-to-date your child will not be able to be searched accurately in our directory and could be missing out on opportunities!
4. Write a bio. Consider adding info like the age range your child can play. Did you know that California Law allows six-year-olds to work longer on set than four-year-olds? If your child is six, but can play four, that's a desirable trait!
5. Fully populated profiles get more attention. Make sure you've entered your skills, experience and awards. Plus, find Industry Pros you've worked with and ask them for a recommendation!
