Happy Summer Solstice!
After many requests by students, we are happy to announce the start of our new Doggone Fun class, the next step up from Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Obedience. We have made one adjustment to our 24/7 pick up policies. Mark your calendar for the July closed dates. We are adding the new C.L.A.S.S. (Canine Life and Social Skills) exercises to all of our Obedience classes. New Energy Balancing sessions are now available to our clients (the human), for free.

Doggone Fun Class - New!
Check it out! Our new class starts July 1. Friday evenings, 7:15-8:15pm. Details at Doggone Fun. Pre-register for a $20 discount!
- Exercises to calm dog and focus attention
- Exercises to balance the handler
- Exercises from a variety of areas, all aimed at building confidence, cooperation and balance, including:
- Treibball (moving/herding large balls) Treibball is the new dog sport, originating in Germany, that is spredding all over the country quickly.
- Toss Ball (forerunner to Flyball)
- Useful Tricks (pick up objects, closing doors, etc.)
- Fun Tricks (bow, sit up, roll over, etc.)
- Life Skills/Games (based on C.L.A.S.S. [Canine Life and Social Skills] exercises, from APDT)
- All may be used in conjunction with Clicker Training
- Dog puzzles
Benefits:
- Fun with your dog
- Socialization (people, dogs, places, things)
- Enrichment
- Physical and mental exercise
- Learn useful skills and tricks (allow handling and petting by another person, pick up objects, find objects, rollover, going to place, etc.)

July shop closure dates- 2011-Plan Ahead
This is just advance notice to remind you of the two shop closures coming up in July. Please plan ahead for your food and supply needs.

24/7 Food & Supply pick up - update
Except as otherwise arranged, we will now be bringing in all scheduled "pick ups" that are still in the Pick Up cabinet at 10:00pm. Arrangements will need to be rescheduled for those items, to accommodate a new Pick Up day/time. Additional charges may apply for 2nd, 3rd, etc. rearrangements.

Energy Balancing for Humans - Free Session
Over the years we have noticed the affect that the handler's energy has on their dog's behavior. Anecdotally, at least, there seems to be a strong connection between the two.
In order to further enhance that relationship, we are offering free Energy Balancing Sessions to all of our (human) clients, by appointment. These sessions are based on the Donna Eden Energy Medicine methods.

APDT new C.L.A.S.S. program is here
The Association of Pet Dog Trainners (APDT), of which we are a Full Member, has recently started their new program called C.L.A.S.S (Canines Life and Social Skills). Eventually, we hope to be able to provide the certification for that program, as well as the exercises.
In fact, many of the exercises we have found to already be a part of our classes. There are also a number of new exercises. We will be including the appropriate exercises in both our Puppy Kindergarten/Basic Obedience classes, and the new Doggone Fun class, both on Friday evenings.

If there is a particular brand of dog food you are interested in trying, and are unable to find it in town, we are happy to check with our distributors to see if any of them carry it, and then special order it for you. Our distributors are always getting in new products.
