Greetings!

We have been receiving lots of new products, with a few shown in this newsletter.  Remember March 14-15 there will be no 24/7 pickup . There is important lawmaking on federal and local levels being done that may interest you. A Grooming class through Community Schools is scheduled for March 17. Four new Nosework for Dogs classes are scheduled in April.

Shop Closed March 14-15 & mid June closure
Our Shop will be closed Sunday-Monday, March 14-15, while we are at Advanced Training for the K9 Nose Work classes. No 24/7 pickup will be available during that time.
Also, coming in mid June, we will be closed for about 10-12 days.  While dates have not been firmed up as of this newsletter, they will be posted on our website (under Contacts), as soon as we have finalized plans.
K9 Nose Work Classes -4 new sections
Four new sections of K9 Nose Work classes have been scheduled in April.
Yuki hard at work find the treat
Sections are available on Saturdays, Sundays, Thursdays and Wednesdays.  These are the first Nose Work classes in this new sport, to be offered in Alaska.
Great for dogs that don't get enough exercise to burn off excess energy, these classes also are wonderful for elderly or infirm dogs that can't get out much, providing a great mental and physical workout, while just working in a single room. Puppies can do it, too!
Local and Federal Lawmaking Affecting You
Currently even dogs too sick to get a Rabies vaccination are required to, in order to get a CBJ dog license for them.  Grateful Dogs of Juneau is working with Animal Control to create an exemption in this area.  Please contact us if you would like more information on this.
On the federal level, in a newsletter I have received, was information saying that there was a bill before Congress that would severely limited our right to buy supplements.  While this is aimed at humans, it usually follows that these things wind up affecting our animals (because we may become extremely limited in being able to buy supplements for our furry friends).  For more information check out for yourself, Senate Bill 3002.
