Greetings!

It's hard to believe the summer has gone by already.  Be sure to take note of the upcoming shop closures, so you can plan ahead for your food and supply needs, while we are gone. We have added new treats to our ever growing number of healthy treats.  Also note the Rabies Challenge Fund is requesting donations, and check it out, if you would rather have a five or seven year requirement for rabies vaccinations, than the current three year law.

Shop Closed, Sept. 13-21, '09, Plan Ahead!
We will be closed, while at training, September 13-21, 2009.  September 16, will be a skip week for Obedience classes.  Please plan ahead for your food and supply needs.  Remember to make special arrangements (24/7) through September 11th, to pick up needed items, if you cannot come during regular shop hours.
  More upcoming closures:
September 27-28, no 24/7 pickup available.
November 1-9, we will be closed, while at training.
CBJ Ordinance Proposals Affect You and Your Dog If... (Comments due ASAP)
Under the new proposed ordinances, if your dog barked (for any reason), or approached anyone, or jumped on anyone (even if invited), they would be required to be on leash, in certain areas of the borough.  The Grateful Dogs of Juneau website has put up a web page with links to pertinent documents and comment contact information.  Comments should be sent in ASAP, certainly well before the Sept. 21 meeting.  Failure to voice your opinion is taken as agreement with the proposal.  Let the Assembly Members (or more) know, especially if you have objections or concerns about the new proposal.

INU Treats
INU treats
Lots of new treats are on the shelves now.  INU treats are made with all human grade ingredients and come in "Pawstickers", "Nori Bone" and "Poochi Moochie" varieties (chicken, salmon/kelp, and blueberry).
Rabies Challenge Fund...needs donations
The Rabies Challenge Fund organization, working to establish the effectiveness of rabies vaccinations in order to lengthen the time requirements in between vaccinations, is in need of donations, in order to continue this important work.  Please see their website for more information.
