FDA Cautions-Chicken Jerky Strips from China! The FDA has issued another cautionary statement regarding illness in dogs that have consumed chicken jerky products imported from China. The FDA continues to receive complaints about these products. They list symptoms to watch for after feeding these products.
A brand of chicken jerky, Kingdom's Premium Chicken Jerky, available at many Costco warehouses, is labeled "Made in China" on the package. Please, check the packages/labels of what you are feeding your pet, and act prudently. |

Safety First! Lights, plants, food... 
Remember to help keep your pets safe. Use a highly visible light (PupLight pictured), and reflective gear to keep track of them and make them visible to oncoming traffic at night.
Plants like holly, ivy, poinsettia, and mistletoe are poisonous to pets, so keep them out of reach.
Foods like chocolate, onions, raisins, grapes, and macadamia nuts can cause illness or death, so keep them well out of range and reach, too. |

StarMark Clicker, Training Guide, Video
The StarMar Clicker is a new item. It comes with a new design of clicker, a basic clicker training guide, and links to training videos on their website. It's currently on sale ($2 off). Of particular interest is the different shape and easy way of clicking. The more traditional "box" clicker sometimes has "missed" clicks because your thumb is at the wrong end of it. With the StarMark Clicker, that cannot happen. You can only hold it one way...the right way. It is a great, inexpensive way to try out clicker training for yourself, or as a gift to someone else (introduce them to this very simple, powerful way of training). |
