Another summer is in it's last days, and it will soon be time for us to celebrate all that went well.

The Alaska Cruise Association sponsors this celebration as a way of thanking Sitka for hosting their passengers throughout the summer.
Other 2009 sponsors included: Sitka Sound Seafoods, Seafood Producers Coop & Allen Marine.
New 2010 sponsors include Sitka Counseling & Prevention Services.

Stay tuned for further details or ask how you can get involved.

Many thanks from us to the
Alaska Cruise Association and Holland America's Zaandam
for the environmental tour last Tuesday. About 20 people got a tour of the kitchen, recycle center, engine room and bridge and learned  about how the cruise lines are working to mitigate the impact of their ships on our environment.
