COAST GUARD MEMORIAL
Census-hands
A memorial service for the three members of the U.S. Coast Guard killed in a helicopter crash last week will be held at 2pm Tuesday at the Air Station Sitka hanger.

The City asks people to park in the UAS parking lot and take the special shuttle to the Air Station.

The candlelight vigil before the fireworks was nice. Another way for the community to come together in a shared experience.

2010 ACS CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 2010 ACS Chamber Golf Tournament is coming up - Saturday, July 24. We'll have 9 holes of golf, Putting and Driving contests, and a great awards lunch with lots of prizes.

Registration forms may be downloaded from the Chamber's website by Tuesday noon. They are also available at Sea Mountain Golf Course.

We'll do a Scramble format, with mixed teams. You can register individually or as a couple. We'll pair you randomly with other players, so you can network with people you may not have met yet.

CHAMBER SUPPORT FOR BUSINESS WEEK ATTENDEES
Alaska Business Week

There's still time to register your high school student for the first Alaska Business Week, sponsored by the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce. Applications and more information are available at the Alaska State Chamber.

The camp will be held August 8-14, on the UAF campus, and is open to 100 9-12 grade students from all over Alaska.

The $325 tuition covers housing, food and program materials. The student will need to cover the cost of the trip Fairbanks.

The Sitka Chamber of Commerce is coordinating resources from local businesses and individuals to help cover travel costs. Wells Fargo is helping one of Sitka's campers. Give our office a call at 747-8604 after acceptance into the camp.
