YOU COUNT IN SITKA ~ 2010 CENSUS
Census-hands

Thursday, April 1 is Census Day. Sitka's mail-in participation rate is 24%as of this morning. To watch our rate climb, visit the Chamber's homepage daily. Since some residents haven't yet received their survey, we're not doing too badly, but we want to see our rate rise significantly in the next few days. Please be sure to take the ten minutes to complete your survey and drop it in the mail, and then remind those around you to do the same.

Its EASY, IMPORTANT, and SAFE, and everyone's participation is vital. We move forward when you send it back. To learn more, visit the 2010 Census.

CRUISE NEWS LOOKING UP

Read about how, "Lines will drop lawsuit if Alaska tax-cut proposal passes", in a Special Edition newsletter from the Alaska Cruise Association.
KCAW COMMUNITY CALENDAR

KCAW Raven Radio has recently activated a Community Calendar that is becoming a great resource for all of us. Not only can you find out what's going on, when and where - it's also really helpful when planning your own events. I encourage everyone to list your events on the calendar, as far in advance as possible, to help make it even more useful to all of us.

Raven Radio is a Chamber member, and has long been a great partner in helping us spread the word about Chamber events. We appreciate that they saw the need for a community calendar and responded.
