If you want to learn more about modern electrical systems, I will be presenting in the forum tents twice during the show. The presentation, entitled "Benefits of a Modern, Solid-State Electrical System," describes the differences between older switch and breaker style electrical systems and modern solid-state electrical systems. Two presentations:
Tuesday, April 21 at 12 noon, Tent #5
Friday, April 24 at 11 AM, Tent #3

See Vertical Power in action!

Bryon Graves recently completed his first flight in the RV-7. Bryon's plane includes a Vertical Power VP-200, Advanced Flight EFIS, Garmin 430W, SL-30, and a DVD player.

VP-100 panel

In this case, the AFS 3400 EE provides engine data to the VP-200. The EFIS is used as the primary attitude source, and the VP provides primary engine and electrical system data, as well as trim and flap control and position display. A nice touch is that he installed the rear-mount VP switch panel so that it looks very integrated and uses the same labels as the rest of the panel.

The trim is controlled by Vertical Power from switches on each of the sticks.

Now in field testing.

The Climate Control System is now flying and in field testing. The system controls both the air conditioning and heating. For more information, please visit the VP web site here.
