Oshkosh Fly-In
Your chance to get "hands on"!
If you want to learn more about Vertical Power, there will be lots of opportunities at this year's Oshkosh air show.
Here are some activities to put on your list:
-
See a demo and ask questions at our booth 2125 in Hangar B
-
I will be presenting "Benefits of a modern, solid state electrical system" on Monday, July 28 at 1:00 in forum 8 NATCA Pavilion.
-
Come by and get a FREE t-shirt (see below)
-
See a demo in an RV-7, parked in homebuilt parking on Tues, Thurs, and Sat at 8:30am. On the ground without engine running only. Just come by. |
Free T-shirt Giveaway at OSH Come by the booth to get a free t-shirt
We will have 150 t-shirts to give away, sizes medium through 2XL available. There is probably no "perfect" way to do this, so we'll give out 70 the first day, and 20 each additional day through Friday. If we run out, please come by early the next day - that seems like the fairest way to do it.
What's the catch? Just wear 'em around the show!

Cutting-Edge Panels A monthly feature highlighting modern and innovative instrument panel design.
David Maib's RV-10
OK, this month is a little different because we're going to show the back end of the aircraft instead of a panel. David is one of our beta testers for the VP-200 Climate Control System (CCS). For those who don't know, this is an add-on to the VP-200 that automatically controls temperature in the aircraft cabin. More info here.
David is building an RV-10 with a VP-200 Duo and dual Cheltons courtesy of SteinAir. In the back he is installing an air conditioning system from Flightline AC, which is controlled by the VP CCS.
Here you can see the VP-200 Control Unit (on the left), the CCS Control Unit (on the right), the Chelton GADAHRS, a ground power plug, strobe light power supply, and ship's battery. The compressor is engine driven. That's a lot to put in the back of an RV-10, but it fits very nicely.
We'll keep you updated as David turns on the electrons. |
VP-50 and CCS Schedule Moved out to fourth quarter.
We constantly review the development schedule and it looks like CCS and VP-50 will be pushed out to Q4 of this year (from an earlier planned Q3). All of the hardware is completed and tested, and we are working through the software development phase. Trust me, software is not something you want to rush!
That said, wiring harnesses and empty Control Units are available for both systems now so you can get started on the installation. Please call or e-mail us for more details. |
