VP-100 Shipping in December

The VP-100 begins shipping in December 2007. It greatly simplifies the wiring in your aircraft and provides switching for over 30 individual circuits, including trim and flaps. You also get advanced features like trim and flap position display, runaway trim protection, over-voltage and under-voltage alarms, built-in essential bus circuitry, landing light wig-wag, and lights dimming. And, it is fully configurable to match the electrical needs of your specific aircraft.

VP-200 Monitors Aux Battery

If you are planning to install a dual-battery, single bus electrical system, the VP-200 can monitor the voltage of the second battery and provide low-voltage alarms. To manage the use of this battery, you can install an aux battery contactor which is controlled by its own switch.

This feature will be available in Q1 08 with the next software upgrade.
VP-200 Rear-mounted Switch Panel
Matches your panel.

You can now purchase the VP-200 with a rear-mounted Switch Panel. The master switch, mag switch, emergency button, and three configurable switches now mount behind the instrument panel so all you see are the switches themselves.

This allows you to incorporate labels and other design elements used elsewhere on your instrument panel.  You can also mount the Switch Panel vertically.

How To
Installing diodes on the battery contactor.

This month's How To is about putting diodes on the battery or cross-tie contactor. Why? To extend the life of the contactor by supressing spikes that occur when the contactor is operated.
