VP-100
Greetings!
Air show season is starting and we hope you'll have a chance to see us soon at Sun 'n Fun or EAA Airventure. Or, let us know about a local fly-in you want us to attend (any excuse to go flying, right?).

In this newsletter we've included some activities you may find interesting - please take a look below!
Sun n' Fun
Come see us!
Sun_N_Fun
A demo system will be at the Aerotronics booth at Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, FL from April 17 - 23, 2007.

If you can't make it to Florida, mark your calendar for Oshkosh and visit us in the Vertical Power booth #2024 in Hangar B.

In the meantime, spend three minutes and take a virtual demo flight:

Where do I start?

If you're not sure where to start designing your electrical system, we can help.

First, go to the documentation section on the Vertical Power web site.

Next, download and read the instruction manual and Load Planning Worksheet.

Load Planning Worksheet

This worksheet is a great way to start getting your head around the planning side of wiring. It allows you to organize your electrical devices, load analysis, wiring planning, checklists, and other important items. Really, it can be fun :-)

On the web site (in the documentation section) you'll also find wiring diagrams and how-to guides to help you along the way.

Send us your worksheet and we can review it with you. It's very likely you'll go through several iterations as you become more familiar with electrical system planning-and that's fine!  It's much easier to change things on a spreadsheet than in the airplane.

Visit the Forums...

Take a moment and visit the Vertical Power forums. We regularly post new information about the development and test program so you can see how new products are developed.
VP Forums

We also want to give you a sense of the testing that goes into our product, so you know it's built well. You can find that here.

You can browse all the subject areas, and only need to register if you want to post a question or comment.

Here are some areas you may find interesting:

See the original proof-of-concept.

The insides of the VP-100.

See how the power supply works from 4 volts to 60 volts.

To blog or not to blog.

One of our beta (pre-production) customers started a blog recently to document the installation of a VP-200 Duo and the rest of his electrical system.

It's a Lancair Legacy and he's currently installing the wiring. Read his blog at:

We've developed a fully-automatic cannopy seal that pressurizes automatically at takeoff and depressurizes after landing. There will be more detail on the blog in the future (check back often), and you can also see the diagram and parts sources here
