PLEASE...Try this to cleanse and nourish your system.
I am always trying to find ways to make myself healthier, but I still love food! How do you get your fill of veggies without relentlessly eating salads? Here's my Green Smoothie recipe.
4 apples
Juice of one lemon
2 handfuls spinach leaves
2 cups water plus 1/2 inch of fresh ginger root
Blend in a blender until it is frothy smooth. Drink within 20 minutes to get all the nutritional benefits.

Hair Rollers to High Rollers
The Fish at Foxwoods and other summer adventures

This summer, we took some smaller, land-based trips, but discovered a "World Away" at a couple of great, local destinations. Our first stop: the brand-new MGM Grand at Foxwoods. What a gorgeous property! Amazing shows, beautiful rooms, great food...plus a heated pool that actually plays music underwater. How did we do at the tables? (Well...ask us about that separately. ;-)  The Fishers Hit the North ShoreAnother great, local destination is Crane's Beach. Miles of beautiful beach, and we happened to hit it at low tide. Finish it off with a lobster dinner at Woodman's in Essex, and you've got yourself a perfect vacation day. It's amazing that you can feel a million miles away, so close to home.

Let's Talk About New Stuff

 You already know that we carry the absolute best product lines on the market. But...they are getting even better!
Bb is launching its new Curl Conscious line. Curls turn to tendrils, right out out of the shower. Show off your curls (the grass is never greener on the other side of the fence, girls...those of us with straight hair would die for your curls!) Flaunt them and make them soft and smooth with this new line.
Kerastase has now come out with the answer to all of you who ask us how to get treatments at home, between services. Check out Noctogenist. You leave it in overnight, and you wake up with shiny hair that has body. Go figure! Perfect for over-treated hair, it comes in two formulas for fine and thick. So far, the reviews have been RAVE!
 OK...if you want to smooth, there's a lot of buzz around the salon right now about our new hair process called Keratin Protein. More than half the staff has already received it, and it reduces frizz by about 95%. Silky and shiny is the result. Humidity...what humidity? Plus, it's an organic compound. In our 40+ years of doing hair, we've never seen anything like it.

Doin' it Up at Fisher--A Blast from the Past
|
Inside our salon, we have a lot of fun and encourage learning (and more fun!) at every opportunity. We recently had a staff challenge---take looks from 1940-1990 and make them hip and contemporary.
Headed by two of our Staff Network Educators, whom we sent to a week-long seminar in NYC with Bb, our staff had a ball creating new looks from old styles. OK...so, they used mannequin heads. But, the result was some fabulous looks. If you want a change in style (or you want to go back in time and change the style you had!) ask a stylist about creating a new look for you.
