Many of you have been asking when my new book, Reversing Chronic Pain will be coming out. Our release date is September 25 and the publisher is North Atlantic Books. Reversing Chronic Pain will be available through Amazon at www.amazon.com. You can pre-order this book at the ridiculously low price of $12.21. Order extras for friends, loved ones, and also for your chronic pain clients. As September nears, look for information via e-newsletters and our website at www.maggiephillipsphd.com.

I have already received some excellent reviews. Here's one from Belleruth Naparstek, author of Invisible Heroes: Survivors of Trauma and How They Heal, and creator of the Health Journeys guided imagery audio series:

"Maggie Phillips uses her considerable expertise in hypnosis, Somatic Experiencing, and the treatment of pain to create an intelligent, holistic, refreshing new roadmap for reversing pain. Her approach is smart and sophisticated yet user-friendly and accessible. More important her methods work."

I have just returned from a wonderful teaching trip to Europe. I taught a three day workshop in Heidelberg, Germany on "The Power of Flexible, Integrated Trauma Therapy".

Afterwards, I flew to Warsaw to participate in a seven day seminar held in a monastery in Wigry, Poland. Many of you who live in Germany have heard of this annual event that has evolved over the last 17 years, and some of you may have even participated. I can see why people want to come back year after year! My presentations there were "Multi-Modal Approaches to Ego-State Therapy" and " Working with The I of Pain." The weather was delightful, and our generous schedule allowed time for sailing, swimming and boating in this lovely lake resort area.

I am getting ready to leave now for a vacation in Maine where I will have other opportunities to kayak, swim, and enjoy summer weather (thank goodness!).
