Spring Ahead

DST Change!

By now I'm sure your have all heard, Day Light Savings Time is changing this year. For 2007, Daylight Saving Time (DST) was extended by approximately four weeks.  In compliance with this provision, Daylight Savings Time in the United States will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November).

This change impacts all of us technologically.  All Windows devices: desktop PC's, laptops, mobile devices, PDA's, Blackberry and all Windows servers require special patches to be able to adjust for this change.  This is especially important for servers running timed processes and for clients running Exchange- using calendars to set appointments. This effects everything not just your telephone and voicemail systems.

If you need assistance or want to discuss your requirements and schedule our trained staff to perform all of the required updates on your systems please contact our office as soon as possible.  This DST change goes into effect March 11th 2007.
