Pilothouse Communications, LLC Announces
Urgent Technology Announcement:
Cheshire, CT
Nov 01, 2006
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 7. On
November 1, 2006 it will be issued as a "High Priority"
update, which may cause an automatic install on
systems with automatic updates enabled.
Toshiba Telecommunications Systems Division (TSD)
is currently testing all products that use Internet
Explorer with the latest available version of IE 7.
During this development period TSD strongly
recommends against installing IE 7 on any PCs or
Servers that need to run TSD applications that
require Microsoft IE, including but not limited to,
eManager, MyPhoneManager, eMonitor, WinCIX,
WinAdmin, VCS Admin and InfoManager. The same
recommendation is applied to any of our third party
products such as Tracer or myTaske/myTaske
Reporter until further update is available from the
third party vendor or TSD.
If you receive a Windows notification, please do not
accept IE 7 as a high priority update. If you have
already installed IE 7, please remove it via the "Add
or Remove Programs" utility under Control Panel on
your Windows machine. Removing IE 7 will cause the
system to revert back to IE 6.
For additional information on Internet Explorer 7,
please click here for Microsoft's updated TechNet
article. This link will be of particular interest to
IT/Telecom managers as it explains how to block the
automatic update.
We are working to address and resolve any
interoperability issues that we discover in our test
lab as quickly as possible. Watch for further updates
as information becomes available.
Please call us at 203-649-6405 if you have any
questions on whether you are utilizing any of these
web-based applications that may be effected by this.
Thank you!
