TOUR OVERVIEW:
Join Chet Neufeld, Chair of the Saskatchewan Invasive Species Council, for a tour of local invasive species control projects in the Saskatoon area. The tour will visit many sites and will focus on the history of introduction and control of the invasive species, current efforts to manage them, and the accomplishments to date. A number of invasive species will be seen, including European buckthorn, common tansy, smooth brome, crested wheatgrass, and flowering rush. This tour will be a good learning experience and will allow participants to engage in open dialogue with the project managers.
