In the beginning of "Lesson in Humility" proud bank
executive David is in his comfort zone as he talks
down to some trainees. This is reflected through the
editing by using low angle shots of David and high
angle shots of the trainees. The editing pace in these
first few minutes is rather slow and rhythmical, but this
changes rapidly when he suddenly loses his job. In
this scene the conflict between the two managers who
fire him and David, now on his own, is reflected by the
imbalance between the two-shot of the managers and
the single of the protagonist.
