I am very honored and pleased to receive the award
for "Integral Realization" from the Golden Gate Fiction
& Documentary Film Festival. When I first read "Hot
Afternoons Have Been in Montana" by Eli Siegel,
founder of Aesthetic Realism, it moved me
tremendously. I felt it was like being taken on an
exciting and
meaningful odyssey around the world, and the world
itself seemed to make sense! The poet shows how a
hot afternoon in Montana is related to the whole world,
and he makes the past, the feelings of people, alive!
