I somehow end up looking for actors and performers who are not trained. When Tejol Kolwalkar (Best Actor winner) and I wrote NINE MINUTES TO NIRVANA, I felt that Tejol should play the part as well. He knew the material very well, and understood thoroughly what the part was about.

I was delighted to hear that I had won the award for best screenplay and I would like to thank the Strasbourg film festival for giving me the chance to show my short film.

My film Tysta rop (Hidden despair) is about missing fatherhood and what consequences that might have for sons. It also emphasizes the question whether a strong mother can replace a missing father for sons. I raise these issues by telling a fiction story without judging the characters nor moralize on their choices or decisions.
