DOCUMENTARY & FICTION FESTIVAL of HOLLYWOOD

Days ago I swichted on my computer, I cheked my mails and I thought the life was really magic. !My film has won the the Special Prize to the Best Fiction Film in the New York Short Film Festival!. Although it wasn´t the first time I received a prize, I felt a great hapiness and I remembered the long and hand hard way that has taken to me, and to the talents and crew to make it.

The story of The Gold Necklace came from my personal experience. It is a story that shows how a single act of kindness can make a difference. I was fortunate to have the best crew and talent to help bring this story to the screen.
I am thrilled to receive this honor and I would like to thank the Committee of Art, from the Festival du Cinema de Paris for this prestigious director's award.

Making this film, I wanted to destroy the social stereotypes-that talent can not be revealed in an unsuitable midst. Talent can be revealed anywhere, even in a detention centre, as a heroine of my film "A special one".
I thank the organizers of The Festival that understand and appreciate my not an easy maded work. It means that I have like-minded person.

The Annual Program Without Frontiers granted the Best Short Film Direction Award at the 21st edition of Mar del Plata Intenational Film Festival.
The Award for Best Direction goes to Cristóbal Braun Mesples, for El regalo de Zapura and a Special Mention was granted to La Liga de los Imperfectos, by Nicolás Di Mattia.
The most voted director by the jury of the Annual Program Without Frontiers as Best Director in “The Inner View 2006” has received the Official Diploma and his short film will be automatically included in the Official Selection at the San Francisco Short Film Festival (June 2006) and at the Festival du Cinéma de Paris (December 2006).
We are proud to announce that El regalo de Zapura won Best Editing at the 2006 San Francisco Short Film Festival.

Sincerely,

Director
Carlos Martinez
