Bible School
For almost the whole month of July I had the privilege of teaching in Dr. Lew Davis' bible school, Centro de Entrenamiento Bíblico International, which was started last October in Arequipa, Peru. This was a great opportunity not only to be able to share the Word but also to be able to improve my Spanish teaching four nights a week. I could have used a translator but I knew it would be better for me over all if I did the class myself in Spanish, and I'm so glad I did! Thank God for the last four years, I have grown so much and it has been a great blessing to the people as well as for me to be able to minister to them in their language! I am looking forward to my next opportunity to teach in the bible school. |

What Else
Special Leadership Service in Comunidad Cristiana Vision de Fe Church
Pastor Alvaro Ruiz invited us for the first time to have a special leadership meeting in his church with his leaders Tuesday July 27. It was really a double service because it also served as an inaugural service for their new facility and expansion of their vision! It was a great honor not only to share in this service but also to be present and be a part of what God is doing and going to do in their ministry. We were also invited to be a part of the Bible school they are planning to start. This middle part of the year God has been opening more doors for us connecting us with new pastors! I know that this is partly due to the times of prayer Kevin and I have been having the last several months, God has just been moving in a great way! And we know that this is only the beginning because there is still a lot of work to be done in and around Arequipa!
Leaders Meeting in Pastor Italo's Church
We finished a two-part leaders' meeting we were conducting in Pastor Italo's church. The atmosphere was a very relaxed setting given in his house around the kitchen table with a group of about 12 to 15 leaders. The high light of the meeting was when we explained the difference between just serving and being a servant; the one that just serves does it with a 50/50 attitude waiting for everyone else to do their part before he will give while the one who is a servant does it with a 100/100 attitude willing to do it all if necessary not waiting on any else to do anything! After the spiritual part, the Word of God, everyone was served a nice lunch. the duck & rice we had at the first meeting was very good as well as the meal served the second time. We always have a great time ministering when we visit Pastor Italo's church and we are looking forward to other meetings later in the year!

2Co 9:8-11 KJV And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (9) (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. (10) Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) (11) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. |
