Act 17:2-3 Webster

And Paul, as his manner was, went in to them, and on three sabbaths reasoned with them out of the scriptures, (3) Opening and alledging, that it was needful that Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach to you, is Christ.
HAPPY RESURRECTION SUNDAY
THE SEAMLESS ROBE

CharXimeThere is one item in the account of the crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ that is seldom, if ever, referred to in any depth, namely, His seamless robe. In John's Gospel it says, ". . . the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout" (John 19:23).
In the Bible, garments speak of conduct or of a display of character. A good example is "be clothed with humility" (1 Pet. 5:5). What precious truths about Jesus can we learn as seen in His seamless robe?

Our Lord was flawless and absolutely beyond reproach in His character. He is "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens" (Heb. 7:26). There is no seam dividing His meekness from His anger, His gentleness from His firmness. His authority from His winsomeness, or His mercy from His sincerity. He is uniquely beautiful in His character. The robe is all one piece!
We see Him compassionate, but inflexible; full of truth, yet full of grace; come to save, yet come for judgment; eating in the upper room, yet sitting at the table with publicans and sinners.

All is done with uniform consistency. Nothing is ever out of perspective. Power is without pride, knowledge is without superiority, and authority is without arrogance. Yes, His robe is woven on the loom of eternity.

John last saw that seamless robe in the hands of gamblers near the cross. How he must have been stirred when he was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day and saw Jesus "clothed with a garment down to the foot" with the name upon it "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS" (Rev. 1:13, 19:16).

As we, His redeemed, are "clothed . . . with the garments of salvation" and covered "with the robe of righteousness" (Is. 61:10), let us fall at His feet during this time of resurrection remembrance to worship, praise, and cry out to God for an experience of "the power of His resurrection" in order that we might be genuine reflectors of the wondrous character of our Lord Jesus Christ.

CharXimeMINISTRY OF HELPS SEMINAR IN PASTOR ITALO'S CHURCH

The ministry of helps seminar we had in Pastor Italo's church was a tremendous success! A very small group showed up but that is the difference between being just called and chosen, many are called but few are chosen. Long time ago I decided in myself that I would minister to the few the same way I minister to the many! Needless to say the ones that showed up received a precious Word from God which will enable them to be a greater blessing to their pastor and local church. One of the many things we shared with them from, the life of Moses, how he desperately needed the ministry of helps in order to be able to complete and fulfill his call from God! We can see the helps ministry in action in the battle with Amelek in Exodus 17 when Aaron (representing leaders) and Hur (representing the workers or volunteers) helped Moses by keeping his hands raise so Joshua and his army could defeat the Amelekites in battle. Everyone in their place doing their part got the job done, it's the same in every church today. Pastors not only need good workers but they also need good leaders to help them lead God's people! This was one of several dynamic illustrations I used to get my point home to those in attendance.

Our prayer this month for all our partners is from the following verses in Philippians:
Php 4:17-19 WNT  Not that I crave for gifts from you, but I do want to see abundant fruit bring you honour. (18) I have enough of everything--and more than enough. My wants are fully satisfied now that I have received from the hands of Epaphroditus the generous gifts which you sent me--they are a fragrant odor, an acceptable sacrifice, truly pleasing to God. (19) But my God--so great is His wealth of glory in Christ Jesus--will fully supply every need of yours.

Once there was a well-trained carpenter who never asked for union wages; who never owned a home that he could call his very own; a brilliant young teacher who never asked for an increase in salary; a great physician who healed the sick and afflicted and never asked whether they had Medicare or insurance; a good neighbor who always tried to show His love and was never unfriendly.
He traveled all over the country trying to help somebody everywhere He went; and often fed large numbers of people when He found them hungry whether they had money or not. He was so wrapped up in trying to help people that He often wept over their pitiful condition. Yet, they crucified Him, and some of the very people He tried to help joined the senseless mob who mocked Him and spit in His face!
