Eph 3:20-21 Murdock

Now to him who is able, by his almighty power, to do for us even more than we ask or think, according to his power that worketh in us; (21) to him be glory, in his church, by Jesus the Messiah, in all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.
YOUTH SERVICES IN EL REY DE GLORIA CHURCH
Cuidad Blanca, February 7 & 14, 2010

Click to see more photosWe were very honored by pastor Castro to be invited to preach two weeks in a row in their youth service. This was to be their inaugural service having recently changed the location from their new location back to their old location in Ciudad Blanca. I spoke to the youths on February 7 while Ximena shared with them on February 14! My message challenged the teens to make five kinds of hard things:

1.       Do things outside of their comfort zone

2.       Do things that go beyond what is expected and required

3.       Do things that are too big to accomplish alone

4.       Do things that don't earn any immediate payoff

5.       Do things that challenge the cultural norm

Ximena challenged them to maintain holiness in three areas of their life:

1.       In their spirit

2.       In their soul/mind

3.       In their body

Both services were impactful yet practical  leaving the youth to make some powerful decisions in their personal lives as well in their service for God! We are looking forward to our next opportunity to share with these teens throughout this year; it is such a great blessing to see young people on fire for the Lord but even a greater honor to be able to sow into their lives!CLICK

The monthly pastors' meeting hosted by Wagler Ministries, which we have been assisting in the last year and a half, is an avenue whereby we are able to impact and minister to pastors. These meetings are a tremendous blessing because we not only minister to the pastors from the Word of God but we also have a time of prayer where the pastors themselves  get to pray for each other!  Time and time again we hear testimonies how that this time of prayer, for most of the pastors, is their favorite part of the service.  Nothing moves us more than to see pastors from different denominations coming together  praying for each other; this is one of the purpose of these meetings, bringing pastors together! I am looking forward to the meeting in March, I will be sharing with the pastors on "KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL PASTORING!"

FEEDING PROGRAM

Our visit last month to the feeding program in La Joya was a big blessing. We had been trying for months to visit the program but weren't able to go because of doing most of our travels to churches on Sunday.  The program in La Joya is not as large as the one in Peruarbobut we saw the potential it has to grow! The biggest obstacle is for both centers is having enough product and food to bless the people with a nutrition breakfast as well a the Word of God! Little by little as our support increases we will be able to do more to help each program financially with food and products. If this is something you have in your heart to connect with please feel free to contact us to find out more on how you can help and be a blessing!

MEDICAL MISSION

We still don't have anything concrete but are still working on conducting medical missions in the poor small towns around Arequipa. The places we are planning to go to are the towns where there are no clinics or hospitals.  If you know of groups, especially doctors and nurses, that are thinking or planning  to do a medical mission please stir them into our direction! Or if you know of businesses or any hospitals that have equipment and medicines that would like to donate for medical missions please keep us in mind.

Our prayer this month for all our partners is from the following verses in Ephesians:

Eph 3:14-19 WNT For this reason, on bended knee I beseech the Father, (15) from whom the whole family in Heaven and on earth derives its name, (16) to grant you--in accordance with the wealth of His glorious perfections--to be strengthened by His Spirit with power penetrating to your inmost being. (17) I pray that Christ may make His home in your hearts through your faith; so that having your roots deep and your foundations strong, in love, you may become mighty to grasp the idea, (18) as it is grasped by all God's people, of the breadth and length, the height and depth-- (19) yes, to attain to a knowledge of the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, so that you may be made complete in accordance with God's own standard of completeness.

DON'T GIVE UP

A lady in the church who invited her neighbor to go to services with her kept count of the times the neighbor refused. It came to 49. She pleasantly mentioned the count to her friend as she issued her fiftieth invitation at the time of a special meeting. At first the friend declined again but later called and said she would go. "If you are interested enough in me to ask me 50 times to go, I will go with you and see what it is like." She went out and liked what she saw. She returned and she was converted--all because someone did not give up too soon.
