Golf was a Swingin Good Time!

With a small army of men and women drawing their weopons of mass distruction, Horses Help led the charge on Starfire Golf Club on May 1. No homes were safe as the golf balls came reining down..........mostly from my bag.  I blamed it all on my partners.  74 golfers attended this years event.  Many Thanks to Jeff Golner and Megan Gor who orchestrated this wonderful event.  Leslie even brought rebel and his golf shoes were shining.
Horses Help Going Green Calendar

Well here we go, our go green program is begining to take shape.  We are hosting interesting lecture and lab opportunites in gardening, composting and rainwater collection. Movie nights are planned and even developing our Horses Help orchard. The Solar project is being evaluated and by next year, we should have quite a great community eduction plan in place.  And to think it all started with Horse Poop!

Volunteer Picnic:  Let the Games Begin!

Instructors
It was a beautiful Sunday April 26th where our volunteers were honored and recognized. After some great potluck dishes were consumed, and the fajita smoke cleared, the games began.  Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our programs and this was one day for them to come to the center and be catered to for all of the extra special things they all  bring to our center.
Our instructors have wonderful teams of individiuals who help to make our facility sing and they also get rather competitive when the Volunteer Olympics was in full swing. A very special Thanks to Robin Miller who tirelessly works each day to create the finest volunteer teams anywhere.
What a great month we had at Horses Help.  Our events were spectacular, our volunteers stupendous, and our riders and programs.............simply priceless!   So get off that couch and come join the team at Horses Help.  We just like to say.................
"Pony up and Participate!"
