Greetings!

Randy here live from Pittsburgh, PA, one of my favorite cities!  I'm back for my seventh visit to the U. Pitt Full-Time/Part-Time MBA Program, leading sessions on Time & E-mail Management for MBAs w/ Outlook & Google Apps, and on Preparing and Presenting Powerful Presentations.  And Pittsburgh is always beautiful at the end of August -- fun times.

Last week, I had the good fortune of being in another one of my favorite areas -- Denver/Boulder, Colorado, presenting at the GBTA Annual Convention (and scampering up several mountain trails with my wife and girls -- what a blast!)  But, looking at the calendar, we have to acknowledge summer is almost over, and "busy" season (school, work, etc.) is right around the corner.  I hope you all enjoy your Labor Day holiday for one last blast of summer fun before we up here in Michigan start raking leaves (did you know snow is expected in parts of Montana today?)

Let's get to this month's Timely Tip:
Top Ten Technical Outlook E-mail Tips PDF
This is ALWAYS the place to look for your Timely Tip!

I wanted to share a handy little tip sheet with you today that I prepared for one of my upcoming client sessions after the holiday.  I'll be speaking at the HSMAI MEET Conference in DC on September 8, and this little handout will be the basis for a "20 minute" speed tips presentation on Outlook e-mail management.  But it makes a nice little standalone tips sheet too, so I thought I'd share with you.

Here's the link to this handy PDF.

Please feel free to share!

(And, a few months ago, I shared my Top Ten General E-mail Tips in a little 3-page article -- if you missed that, here it is again!)

Short & Sweet with the Holiday Coming Up

I'll provide a longer Timely Tips in September, but wanted to keep this month's issue purposefully shorter with the holiday weekend coming up.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend, and for my friends on the East Coast, I hope you don't spend too much of the time cleaning up from Irene (I'm sure that wasn't the kind of "Labor Day" you were thinking of!)

Have a wonderful end-of-summer weekend.  See you next month!

Sincerely,

Randy Dean
