The Mashpee Open Market is seeking artists for its 2007 season. The Market is scheduled for Fridays, June 22 - October 19th at the Mashpee Commons. The Market provides spaces for slightly over 75 artists per Friday. Featured media includes acrylics/ oils, drawings/pastels, watercolors, printmaking, glass, clay, fiber, wood, metal, jewelry, photography, sculpture and mixed media. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, or until all available space have been filled.

Expected Foot Traffic
5,000 -10,000 per Friday. The Commons is the number one boutique shopping center on Cape Cod, attracting thousands of tourists and Cape residents every Friday throughout the summer season.

Booth Specifications
There are approximately 75 booths available each Friday, June 22 - .October 19. Each booth area is 10' x 10' and located in the parking lot entrance to Mashpee Commons. Tents and display equipment are the artist's responsibility and must be limited to the assigned space. Electricity is not available. Smoking is not permitted at the Market.

Parking
Free parking is available to all Market vendors.

Deadlines
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the season, or until all available spaces have been filled.

Directions to the Mashpee Open Market

From the Boston Area:
Take Route 3 to the Sagamore Bridge to Route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway). Take Exit 2 (Route 130). At the end of the exit ramp, take a right and stay on Route 130 until you come to the intersection of Great Neck Road North (at Town Hall). Follow Great Neck Road North to the Mashpee Rotary. Take the first exit off of the rotary (Route 151) and then at the traffic light, turn left into Mashpee Commons.

From the Providence Area:
Take Route 195 East to Route 25 which will bring you over the Bourne Bridge. At the rotary after the bridge, get on Route 28 towards Falmouth and continue on Route 28 through a second rotary. After the second rotary, get off on your first exit (Route 151). At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a right. Follow for approximately 7 miles. Mashpee Commons will be on your right-hand side.

From the Lower Cape:
Take Route 6 to Exit 5. At the top of ramp, take a left and follow Route 149 to Route 28. Bear right onto Route 28 and follow to the Mashpee rotary. Mashpee Commons is at the intersection of Routes 28 & 151.
