Greetings!
This is Our Plan -- But It's Wrong
Dan Swanson, a marketing expert, said he has
put together pitches for hundred of venture
capitalists and investment bankers. And he
always tells them, "This is our best shot at
it -- but we know it's wrong, we just don't
know where it's wrong, and we are going to
change it as we go along." (from Nitro
Marketing Blueprint training.)
Imagine if a leader presented a plan for a
big organizational change in that manner --
and then invited people to offer improvements
all along the way. What a difference that
could make.
Simply acknowledging what everyone knows to
be true (but isn't allowed to say out loud)
could be a wonderful invitation for people to
engage in the process of change.
I Need Your Advice
A couple of years ago I asked you what you
would like to see in this newsletter. And you
gave me great stuff. And I've used it over
these past months. Well, I am asking again.
I would appreciate a quick note from you that
addresses either of these questions:
Question 1: When you think
about work, what keeps you awake at night?
(for example, what worries you, has gotten
you concerned, etc.?)
Or. . .
Question 2: What would you
really like to be able to do better when it
comes to change management? Or. . .
None of the Above: And if
neither of these questions grabs, write
anything you want. And thanks.
Sincerely,

Rick Maurer
