The PCC Alumni Partnership named Carla Johnson and April Duckworth the winners of its 2012 PCC Alumni Partnership Alumni of the Year.
Carla completed her degree in Human Services Technology at PCC in 1996, one year after April completed the same degree. Both went on to complete bachelor's degrees at Shaw University, and both are employed as family therapists-parent educators with the Person County Cooperative Extension office.

The two were nominated by their former PCC insturctor Sheri Narin, who described them as a "team" who work "in tandem" to use their own professional relationship to help families see "how people can work together to build a stronger foundation."

The Alumni award is made annually and is based on several factors including demonstrated support of PCC, professional achievement, and outstanding service in civic or community affairs. For additional photos of the Art Reception and Awards Ceremony, click here.
