Wonder Women Series 1 is the first of many projects that Wonder Women organization's Co-Founder and Executive Director Aliya Hallim-Byne and Artist Fedele Spadafora will produce together. Rooster Gallery is proud to present this first series. Each work depicts a powerful woman whose contributions have both inspired Hallim-Byne and created an impact on New York. In a proud moment for us Kathy Battista of world renowned Sotheby's has written a 1000 word essay that will be made available at tomorrows gallery opening. Aliya will also present her stunning and informative calendar to be viewed and will be made available for online order. So please join us, Aliya and Fedele over wine and meet the women that embody this powerful project as you view these paintings that were meant to capture a moment, an essence and immortalize through art these dynamic women who are very real to us and not pin-ups. It is our hope that these images and the upcoming calendars featuring them will be an inspiration and a source of identification and empowerment for many women. We want the next generation of Wonder Women to see these role models and know that they, too, can be leaders and follow their dreams.
