Volunteer Recognition: Pamper the People
|
Cascade AIDS Project held our annual "Pamper the People" volunteer celebration on Thursday, February 16th. Volunteers and interns enjoyed food, desserts, wine and beer, as well as pampering in the form of massages, makeovers and tarot card readings.
Over 700 volunteers come through the doors each year at Cascade AIDS Project, and without their help, most of our programs and
events would be simply impossible. Together, these volunteers provided more than 29,000 hours of service last year.
Whether helping once a year at the CAP Art Auction or coming in to staff testing at Pivot, each of these volunteers helps move forward CAP's mission: to prevent HIV infections, support and empower people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS, and eliminate HIV/AIDS-related stigma.
It's impossible to recognize all the folks that make CAP possible -- beyond the 700 volunteers who give hours of service, there are hundreds of artists who donate their product to help raise funds for CAP each year at our auction and thousands of individuals who show up each year to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS at AIDS Walk.
While we can't recognize them all, we're proud to profile below the twelve outstanding volunteers this year who received the CAP Action Award for going above and beyond in their service. Thank you to all our volunteers!
