FIGUREWORKS 2012 - Call for Artists
Figureworks.org is a not for profit organization promoting fine visual art representing the human form. The third annual juried award show will be held at Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts, 310 St. Patrick Street, Ottawa (ON, Canada) from Nov 20 till Dec 2, 2012.
AOE SELECTIONS 2012 - CALL TO ARTISTS
AOE Arts Council's SELECTIONS exhibit promotes work by local artists including photography, sculpture, painting, wood, fiber, and mixed media art.
The eleventh annual juried art show will take place from September 27th to October 23rd, 2012 in the Trinity Art Gallery at the Shenkman Arts Centre. The Trinity Art Gallery has a contemporary hanging system, professional lighting and utilizes both its Salons A and B for the show. The gallery is open to the public Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Opening night on September 27th will provide the public and media a chance to meet the artists, talk to award recipients and vote for the People's Choice Award. SELECTIONS is promoted by AOE Arts Council and the City of Ottawa online, through social media, ARTnews magazine and marketing materials.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday June 5th, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. All artists whose work is accepted will be notified no later than July 1st 2012.
