Backpack Buddies
The Backpack Buddies program provides nutritious food to needy children so they can eat on the weekends, when they aren't being fed at school.
There are now three programs in Beaufort County. For more information or to volunteer with the Hilton Head Island program, go to www.hungerandhomelesscoalition.org. Sunset Party will be held at the Bluffton Oyster Factory Park, Friday, August 17, 5 - 9:30 p.m.
A Music, Food, and Beer Sunset Celebration on the May River for Palmetto Animal League.
A No Kill Animal Rescue and Adoption organization serving homeless animals in the Lowcountry. This kid friendly event will feature two local bands, a craft beer garden, hot & spicy food court and other fun activities for the entire family. Additionally, Palmetto Animal League will have dogs available for adoption from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $5, children 12 & under are FREE.
A percentage of the proceeds will benefit Palmetto Animal League.
