Have you seen the "Catholics Come Home" commercials?

Again this December, TV ads were aired urging lapsed Catholics to return home to the mother Church. Apparently, these ads have been highly successful.

It is my fervant prayer that these lapsed Catholics be reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that they not be reincorporated into the false system of Rome.

Here is an article about the ads from Christianity Today.

Here is the Catholics Come Home website where you can view the commercials and other propaganda.

Topic this month: Year in Review/Summaries of Excellent Resources

Greetings in Christ! This month, in lieu of articles, I have compiled links to resources that my favorite apologists published in 2011.

The year was marked by further ecumenical agreements that seek to unify Catholics and evangelicals, politicians distancing themselves from their evangelical pastors, and a papal visit to Luther's birthplace. Below are links to Catholic and ecumenical news of the past year:

The Vatican approved an eleventh Marian Apparition (Our Lady of Good Hope in Green Bay, Wisconsin). John Paul II was beatified, his first step to sainthood. The John Jay Report on the causes of the sex abuse scandal was released. An ecumenical agreement was entered into between the World Evangelical Alliance and the Vatican concerning evangelism. And another between the Reformed Churches and the Vatican concerning Baptism. Republican candidates for president and their pastors were in the news: Barbara Bachmann and the antichrist controversy, Rick Perry and the whore of Babylon controversy, and Newt Gingrich's conversion to Catholicism. And the Vatican called for the creation of a global authority to regulate the world economy.

I trust that these resources are helpful to you and that you will be further equipped to share the eternal gospel with your Catholic friends and neighbors. May we all grow more and more in the grace and knowledge of Jesus in 2012!

In Christ,

Dale Rudiger
