Dr. James Nieman to Be Installed Oct. 28 as 7th President of LSTC
Inaugural weekend event to focus on 'ministerial wisdom'
The Rev. James Nieman, Ph.D., former professor of practical theology and academic dean at Hartford (Conn.) Seminary, will be installed as the seventh president of Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC) Sunday, Oct. 28, during a Service of Holy Communion at 4 p.m. at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, Chicago. The Rev. Mark Hanson, presiding bishop of the ELCA, will preside. The Rev. Dr. Barbara Lundblad will preach. A free seminar on ministerial wisdom is set for Saturday, Oct. 27. Conference for Pastoral Counseling for LGBT Youth and Their Families Oct. 30 in Waltham, Mass.
