Worship Resources for Synod Assembly Now Online

Worship resources and guidelines for congregations to use during the 2012 Synod Assembly have been prepared by the New England Synod Worship Team in consultation with the Office of the Bishop. Included are planning suggestions, liturgical materials for Sundays, June 3 and June 10, and prayers, as we prepare for the election of a bishop. A reflection by Bishop Margaret G. Voting Members Must Register for Assemby by June 7
All voting members must register for Synod Assembly by 5 p.m. Thursday, June 7. This is when registration closes. Voting members won't be allowed to vote if they miss this important deadline. No exceptions. Register now.
Nominee Bios Now Online
Biographical information for all people up for election at the Synod Assembly is available now online. These include nominees for synod officers, Synod Council, synod committees and voting members to the 2013 ELCA Churchwide Assembly in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Closing Eucharist Includes Ordinations, Commissioning;
Rostered Leaders Invited to Vest, Process
Rostered leaders attending the assembly should note that the closing Eucharist on Sunday, June 10, will include ordinations and a commissioning. All rostered leaders are invited to vest and process. Those who wish to be part of the procession should bring their own vestments to Assembly. There will be a vesting area on the lower level of the MassMutual Center on Sunday morning.
