Supporting Nonprofits: Our First Priority
First Nonprofit renewed its support for the Glenwood School for Boys and Girls with a generous donation. Our Grand Champion sponsorship will fully support two students for an entire year.

The Glenwood School is a private boarding school for academically inclined children grades 3 to 8. The school educates 140 students from 55 communities throughout the Greater Chicago and Fox Valley areas. Over 80 percent of Glenwood's children are from low-income families, and 91 percent of kids are from single-parent households.

"First Nonprofit's dedication to Glenwood through [its] Grand Champion Child Sponsorships enable us to continue serving children in need by giving them the opportunities they may not have received otherwise. We are deeply grateful for [their] continued support," said Sam Banks, Glenwood's president and CEO.

First Nonprofit is honored to help support Glenwood's mission and wishes them continued success in the future.

Tornado Time
Roughly 1,000 tornadoes occur annually in the United States causing an average of $1.1 billion in property damage and 80 deaths. While only two percent of tornadoes achieve the most violent and damaging classifications, one quarter of tornadoes are powerful enough to cause 90 percent of the damage and two-thirds of the deaths each year. These storms vary in intensity and, with little or no warning, the accompanying damage can range from minor repairs to complete destruction.

First Nonprofit is urging organizations in hazard areas to maintain a state of readiness during tornado season. Subscribe to a weather report or design and practice an emergency plan. These are just two simple steps you can take to reduce injury and harm to your organization.
