Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls at Anderson Japanese Gardens

Last month VP Bob Arends visited Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, Illinois. This renowned traditional Asian garden was a new First Nonprofit policyholder in need of special training. In the past, Anderson Gardens had experienced losses related to a step outside its gift shop. This one step, clearly marked and well lit, was a source of concern.
About 20 employees and volunteers attended a training session designed especially for this nonprofit organization. Bob offered advice on the prevention of slips and falls, working with tour groups and elderly visitors, and best practices for handling these incidents. He also reviewed the Anderson Gardens facilities and procedures and assured them that they are acting responsibly and proactively with the safety measures implemented thus far.
Tour, Volunteer, and HR Manager Kathy Boyd commented, "Bob's seminar was exactly what we asked for. I really value the personal service First Nonprofit provided."
